Mission

"Journal of Public and Municipal Administration" (ISSN 2225-8272 (Print)) carries out a significant mission in supporting scientifiс dialogue, education and critical thinking about history, both in the domestic and global context, presenting the results of research on the development of state, municipal, public, religious, church institutions, as well as the processes of their interaction in domestic and world history.

 

Purpose of the journal

The purpose of "Journal of Public and Municipal Administration" is to study the historical development of state, public and social institutions and processes, as well as to create a communication platform for discussing problems of state and municipal management in historical retrospect.

Target audience

The journal is intended for scientists, researchers, faculty, postgraduate students, and graduate students in the field of historical sciences (national and general history), as well as for researchers in related disciplines studying the historical development of state, public and religious institutions and governance processes.

The Branches by which the journal is included in the list of the Higher Attestation Commission (HAC):

– National history (historical sciences);

– General history (historical sciences).

The journal publishes the following types of articles:

  • Original article: the length of the article is 35-45 thousand symbols including spaces, 12-40 points in References.
  • Review article: the volume of the article is 50-80 thousand symbols including spaces, from 60 points in References.
  • Short message, book review – up to 6 thousand symbols.

Journal Sections

Historical Evolution and Modern Experience of State Development of Foreign Countries. The purpose of the section is to present the results of scientific research on the historical evolution and modern experience of state development of foreign countries.

Statehood: Historical, Philosophical, Socio-Cultural and Ethnocivilizational Aspects. The section examines the processes of formation and functioning of the state mechanism at different stages of development of human civilization.

Religion and Church as Public Institutions. The section presents articles on public institutions - religion and church, which arose in certain historical conditions as a way of regulating the religious life of believers and establishing relationships with the state and secular organizations.

History and Modern practice of Public Administration. Over the centuries, the modern system of state and municipal administration has undergone radical changes. The purpose of this section is to provide a platform for discussing the historical experience and practices of public administration.

Reforms and Institutions: History and Modernity. Institutions arise from the system of social values, legal consciousness, traditions and culture of society. The purpose of the section is to present materials on the genesis of institutions, historical moments of formation of prerequisites and individual situations that led to formation of the institutions of a modern civilized society.

History of Legal Russian Statehood. The purpose of the section is the formation of state and legal phenomena, it considers the issues of state and legal development of our Fatherland at all stages of its history. The interaction and interdependence of state structures and legal institutions are studied.

State and Society against Terror: History, Politics, Law. The section presents a historical excursion into counteracting terrorism, theoretical and practical issues of counteracting and fighting against terrorism.

General History and International Relations. The purpose of the section is evolution of social relations, changes in state of the international environment and transformation of international relations, expressed, among other things, in the processes of globalization.

Military Chronicle. Objective: reviews and results of military-historical research, studying of military-political conflicts.

History of Culture and Education. Research on cultural and historical progress, enlightenment and education in various historical periods.

Statesman: Personality in History of State Development. The role of personality in interaction of state, society, religions, church and social and cultural institutions, as well as its influence on the need to change the existing conditions in historical retrospect.

History of Territorial Development. History of formation of state territories, current problems of state and municipal administration, national security of Russia and regions.
