The purpose of the article is to identify the features of the course of action and the results of the Agasher war between Mali and Burkina Faso in 1985. The author outlined the causes of the Agasher war between the Republic of Mali and the Republic of Burkina Faso in 1985 based on research methods such as observation and comparison. The author analyzes the intentions of the parties, gives a comparative characteristic of the forces and means used by the opponents. As a result of the research, the authors evaluates the effectiveness of the forms and methods of military operations used during the conflict, presents the military-political results of the conflict and examines post-conflict settlement activities.
