The purpose of the study is to analyze the activities of political organs during the Great Patriotic War.
Their role in strengthening the tactical efficiency and political and moral state of the military formations participating in the struggle against the Nazi invaders is considered. The content, various forms and methods of political work at various stages of the war are revealed. The author notes that the activities of the political organs were aimed at patriotic education among the personnel, the maintenance of morale and professional qualities of the defenders of the Fatherland. The work was carried out in close coordination with the commanders of military units and depended on the tasks of wartime. Factual material is provided that reveals various aspects of the activities of political organs at different levels.
As a result, the author comes to the conclusion that the historical experience of the activities of political organs can be used in the construction of a modern system of political work in the Russian army.
