Journal’s Mission

"Journal of Public and Municipal Administration" carries out a significant mission in supporting scientific dialogue, education and critical thinking about history, both in the domestic and global context.

Presenting the results of research on the development of state, municipal, public, religious, church institutions, as well as the processes of their interaction in domestic and world history.

Purpose of the Journal

The purposes of "Journal of Public and Municipal Administration" are studying the historical development of state, public and social institutions and processes, and the creation of a communication platform for discussing problems of state and municipal management in historical retrospect.

The Branches of the list of the Higher Attestation Commission (HAC) for which the journal is included in the list:

Journal Sections

Historical Evolution and Modern Experience of State Development of Foreign Countries. The results of scientific research on the historical evolution and modern experience of state development in foreign countries.

Statehood: Historical, Philosophical, Socio-Cultural and Ethnocivilizational Aspects. The article examines the processes of formation and functioning of the state mechanism at different stages of the human civilization development.

Religion and Church as Public Institutions. The authors offer articles on the activities of such public institutions as religion and church, which arose in certain historical conditions as a way to streamline the religious life of believers and establish relationships with the state and secular organizations.

History and Modern practice of Public Administration. Discussion of the historical experience public administration practices. The changes that have accompanied the system of state and municipal government for centuries are being studied.

Reforms and Institutions: History and Modernity.  The article examines the processes of the institutions genesis, historical formations and the emergence of modern institutions, which are formed on the basis of a system of social values, legal consciousness, traditions and culture of society.

History of Legal Russian Statehood. The issues of the state and legal development of our Fatherland at all stages of its history. The interactions and interdependence of state structures and legal institutions are investigated.

State and Society against Terror: History, Politics, Law. The article presents the historical experience of social consolidation against terrorism, theoretical and practical issues of countering terrorism.

General History and International Relations.  The evolution of changes in the international environment and transformation of international relations and globalization processes are discussed.

Military Chronicle. The analysis of military-historical research and military and geopolitical conflicts.

History of Culture and Education. The article examines the processes of cultural and historical progress, enlightenment and education in various historical periods.

Statesman: Personality in History of State Development. The role of personality in interaction of state, society, religions, church, social and cultural institutions is considered, as well as its impact on the need to change the existing conditions in historical retrospect.

History of Territorial Development. The article analyzes the history of formation of state territories, current problems of state and municipal administration, national security of Russia and the regions.

The History of National Security and State Protection. The sources of ensuring state security in various periods are studied, as well as state of protection of individual, society and state from internal and external threats.
