Аннотация

Цель исследования заключается в выявлении роли Египта в формировании британской военной стратегии в период Восточного кризиса на основании документов британских и российских архивов (1875–1878гг.). Исследование данной тематики позволяет проследить процесс планирования военных операций Соединенного королевства по захвату Египта и объяснить логику действий высшего политического руководства Британской империи в указанный исторический период. Основной акцент автором сделан на изучении делопроизводственных материалов Военного ведомства Великобритании и его разведывательных структур.
